1 Week Later (Almost..)

Hope everyone thoroughly enjoyed their weekends ;)

Typically, the first thing I do after I leave the house in the morning is drive through McDonald's for a coffee.  I don't know what it is about their coffee, or their coffee-to-cream ratio, but it is the best coffee and they also give you stickers.  Who in their right mind does not love stickers?  Maybe you should take a coffee lesson from McDonald's, Tim Hortons, because they got you beat.  Sorry. 

I was going somewhere with this, stick with me.

Because I never actually go INSIDE McDonald's, I never know what kinds of offerings they have besides whatever is on the outside menu.  But because I follow a large group of bronies, I discovered that in April they have My Little Pony: Frienship Is Magic toys for girls.  OH MY.  I literally drove straight down there and got two ponies.

Despite the strange looks and confusion I was met with, I promised I would be back the following week to collect the next two.  So today, Monday, there I was in the drive-thru asking for my medium coffee with 2 creams and 2 ponies.  It was like pulling teeth trying to explain what I was talking about.  

"We have...an ice one..and a fire one...I think?"

"No, not those. The ponies.  You have new ones this week right?"
"Uhh...I have no idea."
"Think you could check maybe? I'm collecting them.  There's no one behind me."

 The lady stops herself from rolling her eyes and presses the button on her headset.
"Do we have any my little ponies? .... Oh.  Ok.  Thanks......  So yeah it sounds like we have Princess Celestia and uhh..what was that?  Butterscotch?"
"Yep I'll take both!"

Drive up to the next window and the guy, who clearly loves Ponies also, hands me a little bag with both of them in it and goes, "Enjoy your Ponies!"  AT LEAST SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME!

Ahh yes, Butterscotch.  Butterscotch is best pony.

Any whats, have you played Guild Wars 2 before?  If not, I can highly recommend it as a free-to-play MMORPG that is highly polished and addicting.  After purchasing the game, which is on sale right now at 50% off, there are none of those pesky monthly subscription fees that seem to be becoming a thing of the past.  So, for $25.00USD you can land yourself a pretty solid game that is sure to keep you occupied.  As opposed to most MMO's, this one is very focused on your own personal story and very much glorifies you as the hero.  In between your very own (personalized, I must emphasize, with the extensive character creation) epic tale, you can branch off and complete unique quests, gather ingredients for cooking, and dye your armor.  Did I mention this game is very customizable?  Because it is, from the character creation, to your storyline, to your armor's appearance...it's crazy! CRAZY!

So if you're in the market for a new game and haven't tried GW2 yet, give it a go.  It's awesome.

In other MMO news, the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor alpha has begun.  Which is killer because that means I have something to look forward to every day on MMO Champion.com.  Today, they featured the new Male Tauren model!  It looks absolutely stunning.  For some reason I can't link the video to any of their new animations, so you'll just have to click the link above and scope them out for yourself on MMOC's front page.  It's big news.

PS: I FINALLY COMPLETED THREE GOLD CHALLENGE MODES!  That's the good news.  The bad news is that I did 2 on my Warlock, Fazzie, and 1 on my Shaman, Rykiel.  I still have 7 more to go.  BUT SOON.

Legendary Cloak!

So, did you know, that last weekend was the Miami Ultra Music Festival?  Because it was.  And Electric Area (channel 52 on Sirius/XM) is still playing highlights from it.  So, in case you missed any while it was live, you can still catch some of the fantastic DJs that performed there.  ONE DAY I will be there in person, I promise!



Another great plush crafter is open for commissions!  You should certainly check out her work, she is an experienced pony plush crafter who has a variety of patterns including stallions and princesses.  Recently, she did a custom OC plush of a beautiful stallion who goes by the name DUSK.  So you KNOW his name is super badass.  Just look at him.

I'm incredibly late jumping on the Legendary Cloak party bus.  Like, six months late.  But I've been preoccupied.  That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.  In between my Challenge Mode attempts (still unsuccessful, I should add), I decided to bite the bullet and just finish the quest line. And look at my beautiful Fazzie now!  He has his wings at long last!!

He is so cute. Good job Fazzie.

Aaaaanyways, I had the day off today randomly and I WAS intending on working on my plush but alas that did not happen.  I just went to the gym and played WoW and ate a bunch of things.  But that's all I ever do anyways.

Challenge Mode Gloom

Hope everyone is loving their weekend so far!  Here is what has been playing over and over in my head the last couple of days...

So this amazing (local -- she's from Victoria) Pony Plush artist is open for commissions starting yesterday!  I love her applique technique, which she uses for her eyes and cutie marks.  Which, is incredibly badass, because she offers lower prices on her plushes as she does not have an embroidery machine.  Does not matter though, because her stitching is very clean and precise. Also, she makes hats! CHECK HER OUT!!

Not gonna lie, I commissioned a mini pony of hers a few months ago.  It is my favorite thing that I own in the whole entire world.

On the topic of plushes, I have been working on my own pattern lately.  I'm not comfortable with my works-in-progress being public at this time buuuut I'll keep you posted when things look a little more polished.  I really hope to be making full plushes with my pattern by the Summer, if not way sooner.

And on the topic of PONIES, I'm conjuring a second OC!  However, I'm having a hard time replicating MLP's particular style.  I have my own way of drawing and it makes it difficult when I want to make a show-accurate character.  My perfectionism is my worst enemy, I swear.  ONE OF THESE DAYS I will come up with a reference sheet of my current OC! ONE DAY. I PROMISE. :|




I'll take this as an opportunity to mention that my success in Challenge Modes is null.  I am getting so discouraged.  This couple I've been running with has managed to achieve 9/9 over the last week when I was not with them, and they promised to help me get there as well.  Wellp I'm gonna just throw this out there and say I am a bad luck charm or SOMETHING I dunno because every time I'm in the group, the rest of the team sucks balls.  BALLS.  And I hate it.  I hate wasting time.  Challenge Modes are fun, but no one wants to be in the same one for two hours straight. 
Well maybe some of you do but you cray. 

Yesterday, my friend Kathleen trained me in her personal gym.  I just sneezed and my abs hurt so badly.

Well hello, friends!

I hope you are as excited as I am about my decision to start a blog!

How is this blog going to be relevant to my interests, you might ask?

Well here at Fexxalicious!, my goal is to entertain you and keep you up to date on what is happening in the world of yours truly.  If you don't know anything about me, that is fine, because you are about to find out TMI.  Stick with me here, I promise it gets better.

First of all, do you like gaming?  Do you enjoy MMORPGs such as the ever popular World of Warcraft?  Great, because I do too!  And since that is what I spend the bulk of my time doing, I plan to provide both my experiences, links to guides and websites I find interesting, and updates and news that I am excited about. 

If you are as big of a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic as I am, then you're also in luck!  Because when I'm not frolicking in fields of Fel fire on my Warlock, I am creeping Pony artists on DeviantART.  I plan on providing highlights of my favorite artists including sculptors and plush crafters!  Many of these folks also provide giveaways of their work, or hold contests occasionally, so I hope to keep up to date on these sorts of happenings.

Also, I am way too obsessed with EDM (that's Electronic Dance Music for the un-hip).  I think it's unhealthy.  My husband gets headaches from the constant bass that follows me wherever I go.  Because that's all I listen to and if I had it my way, I'd be in a constant state of raving and that would be my job.  A professional raver.  Forever.  So expect some of my favorite tracks to pop up on a regular basis.  Also, my favorite Pony is Vinyl Scratch.

Finally, I go through phases of random things I am super into.  Sometimes it's food.  Actually a lot of the time, it's food.  Sometimes it's tattoos, or getting braces, or a dress I found at bebe but didn't buy for some reason then jumped through hoops to get my friend to pick it up for me only for it to be too small but I had already ripped the tags off in my frenzy. 


So whatever is on my plate at any given moment, is what I will be posting about.  And I genuinely hope this amuses you as much as it amuses me.  And on that note, I am off to spend hours trying to get 9/9 Gold Challenge Modes, because the Warlock set is TO. DIE. FOR.  LITERALLY.
